This Paris Hotel Is Serving A Gucci-Themed Afternoon Tea

By Nicole Trilivas

Paris just got a little chicer: The Peninsula Paris—one of the city’s most exclusive addresses—is partnering with the House of Gucci for an ultra-stylish new afternoon tea service, in honor of this summer’s Haute Couture Week.

Served at the gorgeously opulent and gold-trimmed Le Lobby restaurant and terrace and crafted with ingredients sourced from the hotel’s rooftop garden, the new afternoon tea comes care of Head Pastry Chef Anne Coruble, who was recently lauded as an emerging young pastry chef to watch by Michelin in 2021.

Expect treats bedecked in monogram Gucci print and flavored with caramelized tobacco and Japanese green shiso, as well as three new, social-media friendly cocktails by the hotel’s Head Barman Ivo Correia Rocha. Try the Italianate Blind For Love with grappa, amaro, apérol, black cherry liqueur and fresh lemon juice.

Hungry for more haute cuisine? The palace-status Peninsula Paris also plays host to the two Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, on the hotel’s rooftop; a signature Cantonese restaurant, Lili; the street-level La Terrasse Kléber on Avenue Kléber; and Le Rooftop for outdoor drinks and dining. Every Sunday, a brunch worthy of Marie Antoinette is served in Le Lobby, with just about every delicacy imaginable.

The Peninsula Paris x Gucci Afternoon Tea is available at Le Lobby Monday through Saturday, until July 11, 2022.
