Dior Brings Its ‘Dioriviera’ Pop-Up To The Beverly Hills Hotel

By Erica Wertheim Zohar

It’s officially sandal season—or should I say Dior Dway slide season—as Dior kicks off its 2023 ‘Dioriviera’ collection at iconic locations around the globe including Saint-Tropez, Bali, Seoul, Phuket, Kyoto, and Capri. I was lucky enough to preview their only U.S. location at none other than the original Pink Palace, The Beverly Hills Hotel open now through September 4, 2023.

The Dioriviera capsule collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri is created each summer with the Dior signature Toile de Jouy print and Bayadere stripes for a limited edition range of fashion items and accessories. This year, using the Fall 2023 color palette – soft hues of pink and grey – Dior and The Beverly Hills Hotel have integrated their brands in a playful and sophisticated way that will make what is already a summer hotspot even hotter.

Dior’s “takeover” of the hotel’s pool is the perfect blend of fashion and fun. Featuring pink and grey toile de Jouy-covered lounge chairs with matching umbrellas and cabanas, guests are immersed in all things Dior while enjoying the world class service for which the Beverly Hills Hotel is known. Guests will not only be able to enjoy their signature McCarthy salad (my personal favorite) poolside but will now be able to top it off with a Dior dessert served from a Dior ice cream cart available to guests during the weekends – a guaranteed Instagram-worthy moment.

“The Dioriviera summer pop-up offers our guests a captivating journey into the world of haute couture, showcasing the epitome of style and craftsmanship. This collaboration not only enhances our commitment to providing unparalleled luxury but also adds a touch of excitement and fun to our guests’ stay. We are delighted to have been chosen as the venue for this extraordinary pop-up, and it is a testament to The Beverly Hills Hotel’s status as a cultural and fashion destination.” – John Scanlon, General Manager.

Along with this outdoor transformation is the pop-up Dior boutique located on the upper deck of the pool area. With surf-inspired cabins framing the outside and the interiors molded in a sandlike texture including life-size sand giraffes and lions, guests can stroll through the space with their Beverly Hills Hotel personalized coconut in hand and feel as if they are in an actual sandcastle with the characters of the print coming to life.

From skirts to flowy dresses and swimsuits, the Toile de Jouy motif and Mediterranean feel are incorporated throughout the summer collection. The famous Dior Book Tote with ‘Beverly Hills’ embroidered across the front is exclusive to this Pop-up and will no doubt become a collector’s item.

Limited edition pieces such as a surfboard bearing the “Christian Dior” logo, yoga mat, as well as tableware, placemats, and other decorative objects allow fans of the brand to scoop up these collectibles and recreate the Diorivera in their own home.

In addition to the boutique, Dior has created an exclusive Le Jardin Des Rêves Dior Spa Cabana open from 10 AM – 4 PM daily, exclusively for hotel guests. This indoor-outdoor spa cabana has a treatment cabin adorned in Toile de Jouy and a relaxation suite of rattan furniture complete with Dior Maison accents – all with the Southern California palm tree backdrop in the distance.

In this magical setting, Dior provides the ultimate luxury experience including a prime location at the pool, a top-flight treatment program of four tailor-made signature treatments for the face and body, exclusive gifts, and a special edition Dioriviera scent which keeps you smelling like summer even after you leave the pool.

If there was ever a time to put the top down on the convertible, put on your Dior sunglasses, and head to the BHH for some five-star R&R, this is it. Summer has officially begun – in style.
