The Farmer’s Market and The Grove
Everyone in Los Angeles knows the famous Farmer’s Market and Grove shopping center. Always busy and ever popular, the area really draws in visitors from all over the world. With CBS Television City located next door, the enter block of Beverly Boulevard to the North usually has long lines of young adults waiting for entry into popular Primetime reality shows.
Ever wondered what the area looked like 80 years ago? The land was originally an oil field until the Gilmore Family of developers bought the space and built Gilmore Stadium and Pan Pacific Auditorium. They then sold the lot to CBS in the 50’s.
I just love looking at the “then” and “nows” of Los Angeles history!
