These exciting projects are being built by some of the world’s most esteemed pedigree boat builders. Let’s explore each superyacht project in greater detail.
PROJECT JAG, Lürssen
At 400.3 feet/122 meters, PROJECT JAG is one of the largest yachts under construction and will feature limitless levels of luxury.
She is being built by Lürssen for an experienced owner to replace his current 314.9-foot/96-meter vessel. Her hull was launched in 2021, and she is set to be delivered this year.
Her extraordinary volume means that she will be able to accommodate 20 guests across 11 staterooms, while her crew quarters will be able to accommodate 40 staff.
She boasts a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, with her exterior designed by the famed Nuvolari Lenard design firm. Her interior design is by Reymond Langton Design, with the shipyard stating that the interior will be a “beautiful, bespoke homage to the owner’s lifestyle.”
Reported features include a helipad, spa, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor cinema, gym, dance floor, and a garage filled with a selection of tenders and the latest water toys.
PROJECT SHACKLETON, Lürssen
Project SHACKLETON – formerly known as PROJECT ICECAP – is a 351.1-foot/107-meter mega yacht under construction at Lürssen’s shipyard in northern Germany.
The project is highly secretive, and her specifications and amenities are yet to be fully released, however, reports state that she will boast 10 cabins that will be able to accommodate 20 guests.
The mega yacht was spotted undertaking its first round of sea trials in late 2022, giving boating enthusiasts their first glimpse of this spectacular vessel.
Her exterior design is by Salt Ship Design, a ship design firm based in Norway, while Moran Yacht & Ship is project managing her construction. She boasts a sharply inverted bow and an expansive open aft deck with tender cradles and a helipad. Voluminous decks will also provide ample space for relaxation and entertaining.
