Top 5 Superyachts To See At 2023 Palm Beach International Boat Show
I’m just going to say it. The quality and quantity of superyachts that will be on display at the 2023 Palm Beach International Boat Show from March 23-26 is simply spectacular. Of course, the docks off Flagler Street will be filled with yachts of all shapes and sizes from all of the world’s most popular shipbuilders. And numerous yacht-related business from charter brokers to engine manufacturers will be there too.
But, when it comes to sheer superyacht star power, it’ll be hard to top the fleet of yachts that have gathered in Palm Beach for this year’s show. They’re big. They’re new. Some are making their world debut. And taken together, this year’s superyacht fleet will provide potential buyers with a great opportunity to compare recently launched superyachts built by several of the world’s most successful shipyards.
Here’s a preview.
Feadship: Arrow
This striking 246-foot-long Feadship was launched in 2020 and equipped with the Dutch superyacht shipyard’s latest generation hybrid technology. Arrow’s sleek exterior features large glass walls and breathtaking views from all angles. Her interior that was created by H2 Yacht Design features a large sun deck equipped with a hot tub and plenty of sunbathing areas. The gym features large windows. The bridge deck features a sky lounge with an al fresco dining area.
The accommodations plan has plenty of room for 12 guests in six large staterooms, including a full-beam owner suite and VIP stateroom on the main deck. The four remaining guest staterooms are located on the lower deck.
Lurssen: Coral Ocean
Coral Ocean is the iconic 238-foot-long superyacht that was designed by Jon Bannenberg and built by Lurssen. Formerly known as Coral Island when it was launched in 1994, it’s not an exaggeration to say that this yacht that changed the way superyachts are designed forever. And now that the new and improved Coral Ocean has recently undergone a roughly $ 40 million refit, it’s now the perfect for a family or large group charter via the digital yacht charter platform Ahoy Club. Upgrades include a large sundeck that features a newly created sky lounge, a spa pool with a glass floor, a full bar with floor-to-ceiling retractable glass windows, and plenty of space to lounge in the sun.
The owner’s deck was reconfigured to double the size of the master suite and provide panoramic views from the oversized bed. Guest accommodations include four large staterooms complete with oversized king beds.
Benetti: Calex
Custom built for an American owner and launched in the spring 2022, the well-known Italian superyacht shipyard Benetti will introduce their 219-foot-long full custom model to the public at this year’s show in Palm Beach. Built with a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure, Calex is a great example of the prolific shipyard’s ability to custom build yachts that reflect their owner’s personality and desires without losing the references to Benetti tradition.
Cassetta Yacht Designers designed the exterior. And the Benetti Style Department designed the interiors. But you can also see the two teams worked together to create a yacht that offers the owner an abundance of indoor and outdoor spaces dedicated to wellbeing and comfortable living in absolute privacy.
Amels: Come Together
As the first yacht in a new generation of Espen Øino-designed Amels 60 limited editions, the 196-foot-long Come Together has been an unmitigated success. Built on Amels new and hyper-efficient hull, this new yacht provides the proven platform and pedigree you’d expect from an Amels with a future-facing twist.
The yacht also features pioneering hybrid technology and Winch Design-designed interior that’s centered around comfort for 12 charter guests or 14 when used privately.
Rossetti: Emocean
Emocean is 124-foot-long explorer yacht that feels much bigger than you’d think a 124-foot would be capable of. She was built by the Rosetti superyacht shipyard in Italy and launched in 2021. The exterior design was created by Hydro Tec, while her interior was created by Burdissocapponi Yachts & Design to accommodate 12 guests and seven crew.
