Visionary Women

Another amazing evening last week. On Wednesday, February 6, Visionary Women, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the status of women and girls, hosted a culinary-themed Salon “Female Power Chefs: Cooking All The Way To the Top,” featuring female chefs Suzanne Goin, Nancy Silverton and Sally Camacho Mueller.

These culinary powerhouses spoke on a panel moderated by KCRW host Evan Kleinman. Guests were invited to join co-founder Angella Nazarian, Visionary Women president Shelley Reid and board members for an exclusive three-course dinner following the Salon prepared by the chefs which included a delicious Indian Spiced Chicken Salad with walnuts, fenugreek, baby escarole and lemon by Nancy Silverton, a sumptuous Black Bass with fennel puree, citrus, green olives and green harissa by Suzanne Goin, and a whimsical dessert trio by Sally Camacho Mueller of Manila Mango Sphere with passion fruit, along with a Chocolate Financier Cocoa Nib Crisp and Milk Chocolate Glace. Wine was generously donated by Wally’s Wine.

Wednesday evening’s event was sponsored by The Wall Street Journal, Wally’s of Beverly Hills and Guess.
