Walt Disney Concert Hall: Rita Wilson and Friends

As part of my season tickets to the wonderful Philharmonic, “Rita Wilson and Friends” was my first concert. Rita is a multi-talented actress, producer, writer, and singer. Her first debut solo album 2012 was Am/Fm. She sings an intimate elegant selection of classics from the 60’s and 70’s that make up the sound track of her life, while she creates a beautiful nostalgia for the audience. She is so comfortable on stage with her exceptional style and personality. She was joined on stage by Richard Marks, with his three decade career as a song writer and producer, four fabulous Canadian Tenors, who had just come from a performance before Queen Elizabeth, Mickee Dolenz, a former “Monkee”, and well known singer, and Kara Dioguardi, Grammy nominated song writer, producer, and Warner Brothers music executive, author, and TV personality. The stage was alive with talent! All in all, it was a spectacular evening concluded by a standing ovation for her incredibly joyful performance. Bravo Rita!
