Canon Drive Restaurants and Businesses

Part of the Beverly Hills “Golden Triangle,” Canon Drive is home to unique upscale restaurants and businesses. While neighboring Rodeo Drive is known for its design houses, Canon Drive offers boutiques and award-winning dining options.

Canon Drive is for Foodies

When the Los Angeles times put together a list of the top spots to eat in Beverly Hills, it’s no surprise that several Canon Drive addresses showed up.

Canon Drive is home to several Beverly Hills dining institutions, including The Palm, Mastro’s Steakhouse, and Wolfgang Puck’s flagship eatery Spago. There are also a bevy of Italian restaurants to choose from.

Newer restaurants are also making a splash on Canon Drive. Wally’s Wine and Spirits, which opened in 2014, is both a well-respected wine store and restaurant. Chef David Féau creates menus that work well with the shop’s wine selections.

Nearly every list of top eateries in Beverly Hills will include Bouchon, which opened on Canon Drive in 2009. Bouchon serves French classics with an emphasis on the best ingredients.

“It is up to us not to mess it up,” said Bouchon Chef de Cuisine David Hands. “We have a responsibility to every farmer, packer, purveyor, driver, and store manager not to ruin the beautiful product that each and every one of them has cared for and given time towards. All we have to do is cook the food to the best of our abilities and let the natural flavor speak for itself. I feel that the menu and the team are always pushing for that goal.”

Scrumptious Shopping

Canon Drive’s restaurants aren’t the only places to find a tasty treat. Several shops along Canon Drive offer gourmet goods to customers.

Since 1942, Edelweiss Chocolates has been selling delicious chocolate candies and gift boxes for those with a sweet tooth. Meanwhile Le Mervetty’s cakes are the way to go when you need dessert for a crowd.

Because you need something to wash down a good meal, Canon Drive is home to several popular wine and spirits stores. Along with Wally’s, The Beverly Hills Wine Merchant and Compliment of Beverly Hills offer large selections of wines and the expertise to send you home with the right bottle.

Canon Drive is also a popular stop for tea connoisseurs. American Tea Room not only offers a wide variety of top shelf teas, but also the tools you’ll need to brew the perfect cup.

High Fashion

While Rodeo Drive is known for its design houses, Canon Drive is home to more boutiques that showcase a variety of designers and styles.

Although many of the shops on Canon Drive also sell women’s clothes, there is an emphasis on menswear. Carroll & Co. features both pre-made and made-to-measure men’s clothing and Maxfield Bleu boasts options from numerous top designers. At James Perse you’ll find a mix of classic clothing, furniture, and homegoods. Canon Drive is also home to Eddia, the flagship store of designer Eddia who draws inspiration from architecture for his clothing.
