Los Angeles, CA – Aug. 24, 2015.
Joyce Rey, Executive Director Previews International at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, announced today that she will be joining the fastest growing social good real estate movement in the nation as the newest member of Giveback Homes.
Since the official Giveback Homes launch in 2013, over 350 real estate professionals signed up to create social change in their industry. In its first year, Giveback Homes successfully applied 100 percent of all donations to build homes for families in need. Many of its members including brokers, real estate agents and industry leaders picked up hammers, laid down bricks and personally hugged the families who would benefit from these generous donations.
“Nothing can be better for a Realtor than to help those who cannot afford a home while selling our beautiful listings,” said Joyce Rey. “A brilliant idea, I am very proud to be part of this program.”
Inspired by their work at TOMS Shoes, Giveback Homes is the first real estate social good company that builds homes for families in need, fueled by the passion of real estate professionals. Through the partnership between Giveback Homes and Habitat for
Humanity, 100 percent of member donations go directly to building projects in developing countries in Central America and assisting with build days in the United States.
“Joyce Rey is a leader in real estate and philanthropy, and her passion for giving back is inspiring,” said Blake Andrews, Giveback Homes Founder. “We are thrilled to have someone of her caliber join our social good movement and help us continue to build homes for families in need.”
