WPO And Gensler

This week, Los Angeles welcomes the 21st Annual Conference of The Women Presidents’ Organization to the city and to The Westin Bonaventure. WPO is a “global peer advisory organization connecting top women entrepreneurs who own multi-million dollar companies” and I’m honored to count myself among the organization’s members.

The conference opened Tuesday, and continued into the evening with a VIP reception sponsored by the world-renowned design firm, Gensler. Barbara Bouza, Managing Director and Principal at Gensler, is also a member of my WPO chapter. The firm brought its signature collaborative approach to the design of the new soccer stadium, which opened in Exposition Park a couple of weeks ago. How exciting it is to have a soccer stadium in Los Angeles! I have to say, soccer fans put American football fans to shame with their wild enthusiasm!

I’m really enjoying meeting, hearing, and networking with the dynamic women of the WPO. The conference theme is “Disruption and the Future of Business.” There are over 900 women attending the conference from around the world. The keynote speakers are Tim Brown, Evelyn Miralles, and Rachel Botsman. Tim Brown’s approach to creative solutions in business is absolutely fascinating! You can find the schedule here.
