Frieze Week Los Angeles is Back
International art festival Frieze is returning to Los Angeles this February 17 – 20, 2022 and will bring together hundreds of the world’s leading galleries for a week of art and culture. The last time Frieze was in Los Angeles was 2020, held at the cinematic setting of Paramount Pictures Studios. This year, Beverly Hills hosts the fair.
There is a lot to see and discover this week, such as a special debut of Frieze Sculpture Beverly Hills, which will feature major works by critically acclaimed artists in the iconic location of Beverly Gardens Park, amongst many other events and activations around the city. Frieze is not the only happening this week in Los Angeles, there will also be other shows such as Felix and Spring/Break, alongside many gallery openings running concurrently.
Alongside Frieze, I plan to check out Christie’s Los Angeles new exhibition featuring works by Cy Twombly, Brice Marden, Louise Fishman and Stanley Whitney at its Beverly Hills space, and an Andy Warhol exhibition at the Hotel Bel Air, amongst a few other events happening around the city through the weekend.
Frieze will be located at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard — adjacent to Beverly Hilton Hotel and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. This year, Frieze will feature 100 galleries, both local and international: 38 Los Angeles dealers will be joined by exhibitors from 17 countries.
